
Most schools are veritable danger zones of potential triggers for kids who are sensitive to their environments, and those with ADHD often reach their sensory capacity much sooner than their peers. Since they can also lack the ability to regulate themselves, the chance of their acting out in order to release that buildup is much higher. But the opposite is also true. ADHD kids aren’t only overstimulated by their surroundings; in the absence of engaging material, they can also become understimulated.
