This is an introduction to the special section “Effectively Addressing Burnout, Well-being and Resilience.” In this special section, we aimed to present work that is uniquely pertinent to the mission of Families, Systems and Health. While the authors welcomed work that focused on the study of burnout, well-being, and/or resilience among individual clinicians, they were especially interested in more “upstream” study of these topics among health care teams and systems-level interventions.
