In the following short story, I describe a fantasy meeting with Clark Hull. He talks about drive theory; I talk about attribution theory; and we discuss the similarities, differences, strengths, and limitations of these approaches. We also share some little-known historical facts. I perhaps talk too much and give him some experiments to complete that confirm predictions derived from attribution theory. We did not schedule another meeting, but I think I will call him. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2022 APA, all rights reserved)
