There is little data on HIV prevalence or HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) use among gender-diverse people in the UK.
There were 108 gender-diverse individuals who attended the clinic between January and December 2021; 41/108 (38%) were transgender men (TGM), 38/108 (35%) TGW and 29/108 (27%) non-binary individuals (NBIs), of whom 23 were transmasculine and 6 were transfeminine. Their median age was 36 years (IQR 24–38), 83/108 (77%) were white British; 5/108 (5%) were living with HIV; all of whom were TGW.
