Behavioral Counseling Interventions for Healthy Weight During Pregnancy

In this issue of JAMA, the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) presents an inaugural Recommendation Statement for behavioral counseling interventions for healthy weight and weight gain during pregnancy, along with an accompanying evidence report and systematic literature review. In this Recommendation Statement, “the USPSTF recommends that clinicians offer pregnant persons effective behavioral counseling interventions aimed at promoting healthy weight gain and preventing excess gestational weight gain in pregnancy (B recommendation).”
