This special issue of the Asian American Journal of Psychology aims to provide a better understanding of the factors impacting the health and well-being of forcibly displaced Asian populations. The psychosocial needs of these populations are considerable, and yet, they are understudied by psychologists. The eight papers in this collection focus on a range of issues, including the stressors associated with being a long-term refugee, suicide, protective factors, and challenges associated with providing psychosocial interventions to forcibly displaced Asian populations. We hope that this collection both draws further attention to the plight of these populations and spurs further research on their health and well-being.
