Pre-employment screening: working with children checks and police checks

Pre-employment screening of adults who work or volunteer in child-related occupations is an important strategy for creating and maintaining child-safe organisations. However, there is no single national framework in Australia covering Working With Children Checks or Police Checks. The resource sheet also explains the difference between the various screening programs and checks.
