Working with Indigenous children, families, and communities: lessons from practice (CAFCA practice sheet)

This practice sheet is aimed at practitioners and service providers who are working with children and families in Indigenous communities. It summarises practice considerations and methods for planning service delivery. These include: involving Indigenous communities in planning and implementation; ensuring culturally competeny structures and practices; attracting and retaining the right staff; cultivating networks and relationships; and adopting the action research approach of continual evaluation and improvement.
