In October 2012, the Government published a draft Social Justice Outcomes Framework.1 This represented an important step in developing and articulating the Government’s Social Justice vision. It highlighted our priorities, how we plan to measure progress, and, together with Social Justice: transforming lives,2 defines what we want to achieve.
This document, which accompanies the publication of Social Justice: transforming lives – One year on, presents a more detailed picture of the disadvantage the Social Justice strategy seeks to address. It also provides an update on our work to finalise the indicators that make up the Outcomes Framework. We would like to thank all those, inside and outside of government, who have provided us with their thoughts and expertise to develop the Framework.
