The present report highlights how civil society organizations were involved in the different aspects of the work of the Commission for Social Development before, during and after the session. It intends to stimulate a more proactive and productive involvement of NGOs in the work of the Commission and to contribute
to promoting social policy and development among civil society organizations. The report is a tool for new non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that will start working with the United Nations on social development issues. It shows how they can be involved in the substantive work of the Commission to promote social
development for all.
