Scholarly interest in understanding the relationship between ethnic-racial socialization and resilience has increased, though few studies have explicitly examined the link between these constructs using a multidimensional ethnic-racial socialization framework. The current investigation aimed to explore the predictive relationship between ethnic-racial socialization, in addition to specific ethnic-racial socialization dimensions, and resilience in a large sample of Latine young adults (n = 531). Hierarchical linear regression analyses revealed that several types of ethnic-racial socialization messages predicted resilience among the participants. However, this investigation demonstrated that not all ethnic-racial socialization messages are positive predictors of resilience. Practical implications for individuals who interact with Latine people and influence the ethnic-racial socialization messages communicated to them are provided.
