Abstract
The current article provides insight into special education law within the United States before, during, and following the COVID-19 pandemic. The article aims to update pediatric neuropsychologists on the important trends and perceptions of educational issues faced by families during and following the COVID-19 pandemic. A review of databases (APA PsycInfo, ERIC, and Medline) was conducted. The review highlights changes made in response to the pandemic through guidance by the Department of Education to relevant rules and regulations overseeing special education.
