2023 is the half-way mark for accomplishing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs, United Nations, 2023). The 17 SDGs, that set the world’s development agenda up to the year 2030, emphasize the need for global partnerships to achieve meaningful impact. Increasingly, psychology as a discipline is claiming its place as an important contributor to realising these goals. Such positioning is reflected in this year’s themes of international psychology conferences such as the European Congress of Psychology, “Uniting communities for a sustainable world,” and the International Congress of Applied Psychology, “Applied Psychology for a Better World.” American Psychological Association’s (APA) International Psychology division (Division 52) journal International Perspectives in Psychology: Research, Practice and Consultation (IPP) has been playing a pioneering role in this regard. The articles in this and other issues of the Journal exemplify this. The Editors provide an overview and call for submissions, especially contributions that provide new insights in regions of the world not commonly featured in psychology journals.
