Data from the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) helps power the online data from these profiled released by the California Food Policy Advocates. The dynamic, online profiles provide CHIS and other data showing food insecurity prevalence, CalFresh enrollees, school lunch and breakfast program participation, and more. The food insecurity data included in the profiles show at least 4 million low-income Californians struggled to afford enough food in 2011-2012.
