Pension plans in Canada, as of January 1, 2010

Membership in registered pension plans (RPPs) in Canada edged up 0.2% in 2009 to nearly 6,024,000, the slowest rate of growth in four years. For the first time, RPP membership in the public sector accounted for more than half of total membership.
