Long term solution to assist homeless youth in Perth

A new project set to combat long-term unemployment and youth homelessness in Perth
youths is about to get underway.

Foyer Oxford is a partnership between Anglicare WA, Foundation
Housing and the Central Institute of Technology and will be built on the
Leederville Central Institute of Technology site in Oxford Street. The development is part of a larger plan to halve homeless
figures nationally by 2020.

Mr Jethro Sercombe, Project Manager, is hoping Foyer Oxford will have a similar
success rate to the UK, where 72 per cent of marginalised young people
are reengaged with education or gain employment through their Foyer
projects.
