The CSEC Community Intervention Project (CCIP) was created in response to the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) within five U.S. cities. It was designed to enhance collaboration among nongovernmental organisation (NGO) representatives, law enforcement officials and prosecutors in Chicago, Atlantic City, Denver, Washington, D.C., and San Diego. This evaluation of the project used convenience sampling to select a total of 211 participants across the five cities. Approximately 50 representatives from the agencies involved were surveyed during a 3-day CCIP training institute held in each city. Quantitative findings from the evaluation of the CCIP institute reveal substantial increases in participants’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes following exposure to the structured CSEC training curriculum. The authors believe that their findings will be of value in helping other organisations seeking to enhance cross-disciplinary, collaborative efforts to address CSEC at the local level.
