In this issue, we present a four-voiced review of the recent film, The Father. This film has received universal acclaim and won several awards. Its depiction of experiencing dementia has probably had a reinforcing influence on most viewer’s fearful perception of dementia. This depiction has also gone unchallenged in most film reviews of The Father. We hope to evoke some alternative thinking on this film in the following reviews.
