Study investigates cultural loss for children in ‘kinship care’

Dr Peter Unwin, principal lecturer in social work at the University of Worcester, is part of the research team, which is led by the University of Lancashire and includes colleagues from the University of Swansea. Dr Unwin said: “This project arose due to government recognition of how little is known about the lived experiences of children and young people growing up in kinship care, particularly from Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller families.
