Social Work England raising more income from practitioner fees than anticipated

CommubnityCare | Social Work News

Social Work England is raising more from practitioner fees this year than it expected, after last year’s 33% rise in charges did not prevent growth in the number of social workers renewing their registration. From April to December 2025, the regulator raised £157,000 (2%) more in social worker fees than it had anticipated, and is on course to bring in £178,000 (1.6%) more than planned by the end of the 2025-26 financial year, at the end of March.
