Professor who led on children’s care reform in Northern Ireland angry over Stormont U-turn

Just three months ago, Professor Ray Jones, who led the independent review, was told the Executive intended to move forward with the recommendation. But last week, ministers confirmed those plans would no longer proceed. Professor Jones told UTV he remains “anxious, angry, despondent and dismayed”, warning that Northern Ireland continues to shy away from making the difficult decisions needed to deliver lasting change.
