Lithuania expands funded places for social work studies

Lithuania’s Ministry of Social Security and Labour is encouraging applicants to consider social work studies as the country continues to face strong demand for qualified social workers. According to the ministry, more than 100,000 people in Lithuania regularly need some form of support from social workers. Although the number of social workers has increased in recent years, the profession remains understaffed.
