Faculty Wages Are Stagnating. Administrator Pay Is Growing.

Faculty members are “still living in the long shadow of compensation erosion.” That’s according to the latest report on the status of the profession from the American Association of University Professors. The report finds that factors including declines in public funding, drops in enrollment, and the growth in noninstructional costs have contributed to stagnating wages for full- and part-time faculty members, even as compensation for administrators climbs.
