Critics argue government’s response to aged care price caps ‘a total joke’

The federal government’s decision to delay price caps for at-home aged care services and instead encourage the regulator to chase up refunds for overcharging is being labelled a “burden” and “total joke” by some advocates. The government insists the delay is necessary because setting price limits amid “global volatility” “would risk poor outcomes for older people and providers alike”.
