At last week’s annual general meeting, members present backed a motion brought by the association’s Black Country branch formally criticising outgoing chair Julia Ross and her fellow directors on the BASW Council, its governing body. According to a supporter of the motion, Ruth Stark, the former head of BASW in Scotland, it was carried by 40 votes to 14, at the online meeting, which she said had 90 attendees.
