Affluent councils blocking housing growth, says minister

Minister for Housing Clare O’Neil has taken aim at councils in well-to-do areas of Sydney for obstructing housing growth. Speaking at the Sydney Summit – hosted by urban policy think tank the Committee for Sydney – O’Neil told delegates that “too many councils in well-located, affluent parts of the city are blocking sensible increases in density”.
