The national shortage of school psychologists has emphasized the need to attract future professionals to the field. This study investigated recruitment information provided on school psychology program web pages during the 2024–2025 recruitment cycle, including data related to barrier reduction and goodness-of-fit for prospective students. The sample included 182 universities with programs approved by the National Association of School Psychologists. Information related to barrier reduction strategies was common, particularly regarding the elimination of the Graduate Record Examination for applications and references to assistantships. Faculty information was also readily available; however, advertisements for group recruitment events and campus visits were less common. Differences became apparent when the data were disaggregated according to the degree types offered by universities, with master’s programs more likely to highlight campus visit opportunities and doctoral programs placing stronger emphasis on information about program expertise. These results provide insight into current recruitment practices and highlight information that may be underutilized by programs. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2026 APA, all rights reserved)
