Logic-based therapy is uniquely culturally sensitive and can be viewed both as a philosophical counseling approach and as a therapeutic model grounded in standard rational-emotive behavior therapy, while further developing Albert Ellis’s ideas. It includes the philosophies embedded in rational-emotive behavior therapy but permits clients to choose these among many other philosophical perspectives consistent with their individual worldviews. In doing so, it guides them toward philosophical virtues that integrate rational thinking, constructive ethics, philosophical and spiritual principles, and values.
