Cardiovascular Disease Risk Climbs Earlier for Men

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk increases for men years before it does for women, a prospective study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association found. The study aimed to investigate whether the well-established earlier onset of coronary heart disease in men persists in contemporary populations and whether age at onset differs between the sexes for other types of cardiovascular disease.
