Abstract
Analytical psychology and modern physics have opened windows to describe aspects (or even one single substance) of reality. The notions of archetypes and the collective unconscious suggest that dreams carry symbolic messages from the area of psychic potential, while quantum neuroscience posits that consciousness and brain activity may be influenced by quantum-level phenomena beyond classical materialism. This article condenses an interdisciplinary exploration of quantum neuroscience and Jungian dream symbolism, preserving its philosophical tone and structure. We propose a dialogue between both areas without pre-established judgements. We examine how Jungian concepts of the psyche parallel some notions from quantum theory, proposing a unified framework in which archetypal symbols in dreams could correspond to underlying neurophysiological processes that are fundamentally quantum in nature. Furthermore, we introduce an analysis of an anonymous dream to illustrate how archetypal interpretation and quantum correlations might converge in practice. Eventually, we aim to continue the debate regarding a possible connection between Jung’s depth psychology and quantum brain science that can deepen our understanding of consciousness, meaning, and the relationship between mind and matter.
La psychologie analytique et la physique moderne ont ouvert des perspectives permettant de décrire certains aspects (voire une seule et même substance) de la réalité. Les notions d’archétypes et d’inconscient collectif suggèrent que les rêves portent des messages symboliques issus d’un champ de potentialité psychique, tandis que les neurosciences quantiques avancent que la conscience et l’activité cérébrale pourraient être influencées par des phénomènes à l’échelle quantique, au-delà du matérialisme classique. Cet article propose une synthèse d’une exploration interdisciplinaire des neurosciences quantiques et du symbolisme onirique jungien, tout en en préservant le ton et la structure philosophiques.
Nous proposons d’ouvrir un dialogue entre ces deux domaines sans présupposés. Nous examinons comment les concepts jungien de la psyché trouvent des parallèles dans certaines notions de la théorie quantique, en suggérant un cadre unifié dans lequel les symboles archétypiques des rêves pourraient correspondre à des processus neurophysiologiques sous-jacents, de nature fondamentalement quantique. Par ailleurs, nous présentons l’analyse d’un rêve anonyme afin d’illustrer la manière dont l’interprétation archétypique et les corrélations quantiques pourraient converger dans la pratique. Enfin, nous visons à poursuivre le débat concernant une possible connexion entre la psychologie des profondeurs de Jung et les neurosciences quantiques du cerveau, afin d’approfondir notre compréhension de la conscience, du sens et de la relation entre l’esprit et la matière.
Die Analytische Psychologie und die moderne Physik haben neue Wege eröffnet, Aspekte (oder sogar eine einzelne Substanz) der Realität zu beschreiben. Die Konzepte der Archetypen und des Kollektiven Unbewußten legen nahe, daß Träume symbolische Botschaften aus dem Bereich des psychischen Potentials enthalten, während die Quantenneurowissenschaft postuliert, daß Bewußtsein und Gehirnaktivität von Phänomenen auf Quantenebene jenseits des klassischen Materialismus beeinflußt werden können. Dieser Artikel faßt eine interdisziplinäre Untersuchung der Quantenneurowissenschaft und der Jungianischen Traumsymbolik zusammen und bewahrt dabei deren philosophischen Grundton und Struktur. Wir schlagen einen Dialog zwischen beiden Bereichen ohne vorgefaßte Wertungen vor. Wir untersuchen, wie Jungianische Konzepte der Psyche Parallelen zu einigen Vorstellungen der Quantentheorie aufweisen und entwickeln einen einheitlichen Rahmen, in dem archetypische Symbole in Träumen zugrundeliegenden neurophysiologischen Prozessen entsprechen könnten, die fundamental quantenmechanischer Natur sind. Des Weiteren stellen wir die Analyse eines anonymen Traums vor um zu veranschaulichen, wie archetypische Deutungen und Quantenkorrelationen in der Praxis zusammenwirken könnten. Letztendlich möchten wir die Debatte über eine mögliche Verbindung zwischen Jungs Tiefenpsychologie und der Quantenhirnforschung fortsetzen, die unser Verständnis von Bewußtsein, Bedeutung und dem Verhältnis von Geist und Materie vertiefen kann.
La psicologia analitica e la fisica moderna hanno spalancato una finestra sulla descrizione di aspetti (o anche solo un componente) della realtà. Le nozioni di archetipo e di inconscio collettivo suggeriscono che i sogni veicolano messaggi simbolici dall’area delle potenzialità psichiche, mentre le neuroscienze quantistiche ipotizzano che la coscienza e l’attività cerebrale possono essere influenzate da fenomeni quantistici. Questo articolo offre una esplorazione interdisciplinare delle neuroscienze quantistiche e dei simboli nei sogni, visti dalla prospettiva junghiana, considerando la rispettiva cornice filosofica. Proponiamo un dialogo tra le due parti che sia libero da pregiudizi. La visione junghiana della psiche richiama alcune nozioni della teoria quantistica, e noi proponiamo un paradigma unificato in cui i simboli archetipici nei sogni potrebbero corrispondere ai sottostanti processi fisiologici che sono fondamentalmente di natura quantistica. Inoltre, presentiamo l’analisi di un sogno di un paziente anonimo per mostrare come l’interpretazione archetipica e le correlazioni quantistiche possano convergere, nella pratica analitica. Infine, ci auguriamo che continui il dibattito sulle possibili connessioni tra la psicologia del profondo di Jung e la concezione del cervello quantistico, così che possa ampliarsi la nostra comprensione della coscienza, del significato e delle relazioni tra mente e materia.
Аналитическая психология и современная физика обнаруживают новые возможности для описания различных сторон реальности (или даже ее одной отдельно взятой субстанции). Понятия архетипов и коллективного бессознательного подразумевают, что сновидения несут символические послания о сфере психического потенциала, в то время как квантовая нейробиология утверждает, что сознание и мозговая деятельность могут быть подвержены влиянию явлений квантового уровня за рамками классического материализма. Данная статья представляет собой резюме междисциплинарного исследования на стыке квантовой нейробиологии июнгианского символического подхода к сновидениям при сохранении его философского тона и структуры. Мы полагаем, что между этими двумя дисциплинами возможен диалог, свободный от предвзятости и предубеждений. Мы сопоставляем юнгианские представления о психике с рядом идей квантовой теории и предлагаем единую модель, связывающую архетипические символы сновидений с детерминирующими их нейрофизиологическими процессами, квантовыми по своей природе. Затем мы представляет анализ анонимного сновидения, иллюстрирующего на практике близость между архетипической интерпретацией и квантовыми коррелятами. В заключение мы говорим о намерении продолжить дискуссию о возможной связи между глубинной психологией Юнга и квантовой наукой о мозге с целью углубить наши представления о сознании, смысле и взаимосвязи между психикой и материей.
La psicología analítica y la física moderna han abierto ventanas para describir aspectos (o incluso una sola sustancia) de la realidad. Las nociones de arquetipos y de inconsciente colectivo sugieren que los sueños transmiten mensajes simbólicos desde el ámbito del potencial psíquico, mientras que la neurociencia cuántica postula que la conciencia y la actividad cerebral pueden verse influidas por fenómenos a nivel cuántico más allá del materialismo clásico. Este artículo condensa una exploración interdisciplinaria de la neurociencia cuántica y el simbolismo onírico Junguiano, preservando un tono y estructura filosóficos. Proponemos un diálogo entre ambas áreas sin juicios preestablecidos. Examinamos cómo los conceptos Junguiano de la psique son paralelos a algunas nociones de la teoría cuántica, proponiendo un marco unificado en el que los símbolos arquetípicos en los sueños podrían corresponder a procesos neurofisiológicos subyacentes que son de naturaleza fundamentalmente cuántica. Además, presentamos un análisis de un sueño anónimo para ilustrar cómo la interpretación arquetipal y las correlaciones cuánticas podrían converger en la práctica. En última instancia, nuestro objetivo es continuar el debate sobre una posible conexión entre la psicología profunda de Jung y la neurociencia cuántica, que permita profundizar nuestra comprensión de la conciencia, el sentido y la relación entre mente y materia.
