USD 61 M required in the next six months (July – December 2026)

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

• In June, WFP assisted 278,190 people and distributed 1,384.48 mt of food assistance, reaching 44 percent of the planned target.

• School feeding, malnutrition treatment and asset creation activities recorded strong results, while emergency assistance and malnutrition prevention remained below target mostly due to access challenges.

• Humanitarian needs remain significant, underscoring the importance of sustained assistance to protect vulnerable populations and consolidate recent gains.

• WFP continues an integrated response across food assistance, nutrition, school meals and resilience, requiring USD 61 million for July–Dec 2026 to sustain operations and avoid further deterioration in food security.
