The University of Connecticut’s Graduate School of Social Work had been awarded a five-year grant of just over $3 million as part of the 2022 Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which Congress passed in the aftermath of the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
