In yet another jarring yet perhaps unsurprising move in the ongoing effort of political appointees of Gov. Ron DeSantis to “transform” a small liberal arts honors college in Sarasota, the newly seated board of trustees at New College of Florida declined to grant tenure to five veteran faculty members last week.
