WIN, the non-profit Quinn runs, shelters around 2,200 children a night and served 4,700 children total last year. In addition to food and shelter, each family receives an essentials kit that included new sheets and towels, pots, pans, dishes, and flatware, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and toilet paper. Quinn says children at a WIN shelter also have access to counseling from trained social workers.
