KS3 FGM lesson

Summary: Lesson plan aimed at Key Stage 3 pupils (11-14-year-olds), intended to raise awareness of the practice of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Aims to inform young people of the facts of FGM and where and how to get help. Covers: preparation, learning outcomes, lesson outline, introduction to the topic, activities for the lesson and closing remarks and signposting. Includes resources for use in lessons and a supporting slideshow. Lesson plan is part of ‘SRE covered: all you need to teach about sex and relationships in secondary schools’, a comprehensive sex and relationship education (SRE) resource pack.
