Placebo-controlled comparison of prazosin and cognitive–behavioral treatments for sleep disturbances in US Military Veterans – Corrected Proof

In the article by Germain et al. interesting and promising lines of research are presented, with great potential clinical relevance . We would like to provide some clarifying thoughts on this study. In the abstract the authors conclude: “BSI and prazosin were both associated with significant sleep improvements and reductions in daytime PTSD [Post-traumatic stress disorder] symptoms in this sample of military veterans. Sleep-focused treatments may enhance the benefits of first-line PTSD treatments.” In our opinion, the findings of this study do not justify this conclusion.
