Lysis of Catatonic Withdrawal by Propofol in a Bone-Marrow Transplant Recipient with Adenovirus Limbic Encephalitis – Corrected Proof

The evaluation of hospitalized patients with agitation can be challenging, especially when an immunocompromised state introduces the potential for central nervous system (CNS) infections. The presentation of agitation in a patient with psychiatric diagnoses and comorbid medical conditions further confounds assessment, as the differential diagnosis includes both medical and psychiatric causes of catatonia and delirious agitation.
