Gone too soon: a report into youth suicide in the Northern Territory

The youth suicide rate in the Northern Territory is 3.5 times that of the national average. This report investigates current policies and services regarding youth suicide in the Northern Territory, and how the government can better respond. The first part of the report provides information on prevalence, suicide in Indigenous communities, risk and protective factors, federal and territory policies and funding, and current programs and services. The second part considers what can be done, built around the themes of: building strong and resilient communities, identifying and helping those at risk, helping the bereaved and stopping the spread of suicide, and smarter service delivery.
