The pedagogic challenge of spirituality: A ‘co-creative’ response

The contemporary discussion about spirituality has significant implications for social work education and practice. Recent contributions to the social work literature have deepened and widened our understanding of this domain, although as a profession social workers still remain ambivalent about its value and usefulness. This article reviews some recent contributions to the discussion, and describes how an educational ‘co-creative’ approach can enable spirituality to be located and explored holistically.
